About

Our story can be traced back to the early 1980’s when a group of concerned citizens in the Monroeville area decided that there was a definite need for a care facility in their community. The town met with then CEO of Adams Memorial Hospital, Marvin Baird for several years to begin planning and construction of a new 61-bed facility, The Village of Heritage. In March 2000, The Village of Heritage opened its doors and accepted its first resident and began offering our array of services. Then, in 2013 our name changed to Adams Heritage, but not ownership. We still continue to be locally owned and operated by Adams Memorial Hospital.
