Settled in 1852 by a small group of devout Swiss Mennonites, Berne is located in the heart of Adams County, home to a vibrant and extensive Amish community. Berne has the largest outdoor museum in northern Indiana in Swiss Heritage Village, the newly constructed, massive, Berne Clock Tower and Muensterberg Plaza, our annual Swiss Days Festival Celebration, and many other local and area attractions.
